Ideas Worth Spreading
TEDxHiltonHead is a series of speakers and events focused on “ideas worth spreading.” These short, yet powerful, talks showcase the importance of ideas, and the conversations that flow from them. Sharing TEDx with Hilton Head residents allows us to build up our community, expand their minds and share their dreams.
What Is TEDx?
You may be familiar with TED, the nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas in short, inspirational talks (18 minutes or less). This global community welcomes anyone looking to seek a deeper understanding of the world. As on offshoot of this organization, independently run TEDx talks help share ideas in communities around the world.
TEDxHiltonHead started in Fall 2015 when local organizers brainstormed the idea of establishing a vibrant and sustainable TEDx program in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Our mission is to bring “Ideas Worth Sharing” to Lowcountry, inspiring our community to meet their personal growth goals by sharing ideas that will positively impact their attitudes and lives. The first TEDxHiltonHead event was held on Oct. 23, 2016, and this sold-out event led to annual events, including: TEDxHiltonHead / TEDxHiltonHeadWomen / TEDxYouth@HiltonHead / TEDxSalons / TEDxAdventures
